ECZ-ID Business Passport: the organisation's own checkable identity

The organisation-level ECZ-ID (the Parent) that every Passport sits under. Declared is the free default: self-declared, not independently verified. Verified and Assured open a verification case; the tier changes only when its checks pass.

In an MSP client estate

Why ECZ-ID Business Passport matters for a managed estate

Who it is for

Every MSP — for its own organisation — and every client organisation whose machines will carry Passports.

The MSP problem it addresses

Clients and their customers increasingly ask an MSP to show who it is in a form they can check, not a logo on a slide.

The client problem it addresses

A client needs one persistent organisation identity that its machine Passports, authority records and evidence all point back to.

When to attach it to a client

It is the anchor for everything else in the client's record, and the Declared tier is free. The badge on this site's footer is the same pattern, for EcoCitizenz Ltd.

What the MSP receives

  • Your own organisation ECZ-ID with a live Resolver page, badge, QR and share link (Declared, free).
  • A route to Verified or Assured when a client or buyer needs a stronger organisation claim.

What the client receives

  • Its own organisation ECZ-ID, owned by the client, that its Passports and records sit under.
  • A public route anyone can re-check, without access to your console.

How it fits the recurring Machine Trust service

The recurring record is kept per client organisation; the Business Passport is that organisation's persistent identity.

Options, prices and state

Each option, as TrustOps lists it

Declared: one TrustOps sign-in, no payment and no card — it is also created the first time any free Passport is started. Verified and Assured: bought in TrustOps; payment opens the verification case, and the tier changes only when the case is decided. Prices and what can be bought today come from TrustOps, which owns every purchase, entitlement and renewal.

What you get

In TrustOps' own words

  • ECZ-ID Business Passport — Declared

Self-declared organisation identity. Not independently verified. One persistent organisation ECZ-ID, created free the first time you acquire any Passport.

  • ECZ-ID Business Passport — Verified

Verified organisation identity (the Parent only).

  • ECZ-ID Business Passport — Assured

Assured organisation identity (the Parent only) — ECZ-ID's own assurance standard; never third-party KYB/KYC completion, regulatory approval, licensing, safety, compliance or creditworthiness.

How it works

In plain English

  1. 1Sign in once in TrustOps; the Declared Business Passport is created or reused.
  2. 2Publish the badge and Resolver link wherever the organisation is asked to prove who it is.
  3. 3If a stronger claim is needed, buy Verified or Assured; the checks run as a case.
  4. 4The tier shown at the Resolver changes only when the case is decided — never because of a payment.

Inputs

  • A TrustOps sign-in for the organisation.
  • For Verified or Assured: the information the verification checks ask for.

Outputs and evidence

  • The organisation ECZ-ID and its Resolver page, badge and QR.
  • For Verified or Assured: a decided verification case, after which the tier is projected.

With your existing stack

It does not replace company registration, KYB or your identity provider; it gives the organisation a public, re-checkable route that its machines and records reference.

Boundaries

What it does not do

  • Declared is not independently verified.
  • A Verified or Assured organisation does not make any of its machines verified.
  • The badge is not by itself a guarantee of safety, quality, compliance, domain ownership or control, or approval.

TrustOps terms for ECZ-ID Business Passport — Declared

  • Self-declared: not independently verified.
  • Holding it is not proof of anything on its own.
  • Re-check the live record at the Resolver before relying on it.
  • One subject, one ECZ-ID: it is never re-minted.
  • Nothing is published without explicit consent.
  • There is nothing to pay.

What buying it never changes

  • the Parent organisation tier (a free Passport is DECLARED context)
  • any verification, assurance, safety or approval claim
  • any other Passport

Proof and integration

Resolver and Developer Gateway

Resolver relationship

The Resolver is the only authority on the organisation's public state and tier. The badge links there so a reader can re-check the current record.

Questions

ECZ-ID Business Passport: questions MSPs ask

Does paying for Verified make my organisation verified?
No. Payment opens the verification case. The tier changes only when the case is decided and applied.
Is the Declared Business Passport really free?
Yes: no payment, no card and no plan selection. One sign-in creates or reuses it.
Does the badge prove my company controls its website?
Not by itself. It is a route to the current ECZ-ID record; the record states what it does and does not establish.
